1976 : Michel BAULÉ creates a polyurethane moulding company.
1986 : Investment in upstream processes like polyurethanes formulating systems and development of casting machines.
1997 : Takeover of a mechanical engineering company well established in offshore Oil and Gas sector.
1997 : Takeover of a competitor, ELADIP, polyurethane moulder.
1998 : Takeover of two companies making injection-moulded thermoplastic engineering parts.
2001 : The Michel BAULÉ SA group splits into two separate units:
- EXSTO, subsidiary specialising in plastics engineering activities (Polyurethane et Thermoplastics).
- BAULÉ, subsidiary developing and manufacturing upstream systems and machinery (formulation and casting machines).
2005 : Takeover of ELLIPSE, thermoplastics injection-moulding unit (engineering parts and optical parts).
2006 : Takeover of DUNLAW Engineering, specializes in accessories for the polyurethanes offshore Oil and Gas sector.
2008 : EXSTO takes control of Blue Spring Juneng Da. This joint-venture in China is dedicated to moulding of engineering parts in polyurethane and injection of thermoplastics.
01/2009 : ELLIPSE becomes EXSTO Thermoplastics. Merger of two sites.
06/2009 : DUNLAW becomes EXSTO UK.
10/2009 : EXSTO leaves the Michel BAULÉ SA through a LBO.
07/2010 : EXSTO opens a production site in Brazil, EXSTO BRASIL LTDA.
